Specifications for 21 Km or 42 Km race:
This race is aim for 18 and over, intermediate to confident skaters, professionals, over 60, Clubs, Fundraising or Sponsorship.
Entry cost for one adult – £45 (21 Km) or £60 (42 Km).
ALL SKATERS MUST WEAR A HELMET AND WRIST, KNEE AND ELBOW PROTECTION.
ALL SKATERS MUST PROVIDE A MEDICAL CERTIFICATE STATING THAT THEY ARE FIT TO TAKE PART IN THE RACE.
Participants must know how to stop in order to enter this event.
18 and over: All participants should be confident skaters. Participants should have follow a rigid training to prepare themselves for the event. The event will take between two to 4 hours depending on the ability of the participants. The participant is asked to wear a helmet but we recommend to wear the wrist protection as well for intermediate participants.
Intermediate to confident skaters: Your level should be more than intermediate and you should have taken a rigid training months before the race. You can download an App or go to our training schedule.
Professionals: We are welcoming all professionals from inline skaters to Derbie. London Roller Marathon is organised according to the international competition regulation. All time will be recorded and put on display.
Over 60: This is depending on the individual. Any of the over 60 can joined the 5 k or 21 k depending on their abilities and confidence.
Age limit: 18 and over, Over 60.
Clubs (click on logo to complete the form): Participants aged 16 to 18 are allowed to be part of the 21 k only if they are in a Club. If they are not, they will have to take part to the 5 k.
Fundraising or Sponsoring:
Fundraising participants will need to raise a minimum of £250 and engage their friends, family and wider network to raise as much as possible for our selected charities.
Fundraising Idea
- Fundraising doesn’t have to be complicated any simple idea can make a difference.
Cake Sale, Car Boots Sale, Disco, BBQ, Tea Party at (Church – Synagogue – Mosque – Temple, etc), Evening Party, Quiz night, wash the dishes for a month. Be creative.
- Relax and enjoy every moment.
- Don’t put pressure on yourself of the amount of fund you’ll like to raise.
- Don’t forget to ask your sponsors to tick the gift aid box
- Don’t stop talking about your project and what you want to archive. You’ll be amaze how people want to help. Use ‘face book’, ‘twitter’ and email.
- Be organised and don’t be scare to ask you help
